We are a US based medical billing and management company dedicated to providing superior service to our clients and their patients. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks requiring excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment. A billing assistant is responsible for entering patient data into our practice management system, organizing patient and insurance charges, sending claims to insurance, collecting patient payments and recording transactions. All team members call patients, in a kind compassionate manner, to discuss payment issues.
The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communicating with patients is a large part of the job.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submitting billing data and claims to insurance companies.
- Ensuring the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date.
- Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due.
- Monitoring and recording payments.
- Collecting patient responsibility directly from patients
- Following up on declined credit cards, missed payments and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Examining patient bills for accuracy and requesting any missing information.
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
