Position Overview:
As a Medical Billing Collection Specialist, you will be instrumental in maximizing revenue and minimizing outstanding balances. Your role involves collaborating closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal departments to ensure efficient billing and reimbursement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Denial Management: Investigate and resolve claim denials through appeals, resubmissions, or corrections.
Follow-Up: Conduct regular follow-ups with insurance companies and patients to ensure timely payment.
Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations to maintain adherence in billing practices.
Basic Requirements:
Claim Resolution and Reimbursement: Passionate about resolving medical claims and maximizing insurance reimbursements.
Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail in managing accounts receivable processes.
Independence and Collaboration: Ability to work independently and within teams to foster an efficient work environment.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication to interact professionally with stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
Medical Billing/Collections: Proven experience in resolving denied claims and conducting thorough follow-ups with insurance providers.
Diverse Responsibilities: Extensive knowledge of medical billing and collections, including claim submissions and other relevant duties.
Specialized Expertise: Experience in fields like Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Orthopedics, or Vascular disciplines preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis, familiarity with Payer Portals, and handling Out of Network billing processes.
Insurance Knowledge: Experience with Major Medical Insurance Providers, Work Comp, and Motor Vehicle claims preferred.
Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
