Responsibilities:
Denial Management: Investigate and resolve claim denials through appeals, resubmissions, and necessary corrections.
Follow-Up: Conduct regular follow-ups with insurance companies and patients to ensure prompt payment of outstanding balances.
Compliance: Stay informed on industry regulations to ensure billing practices comply with standards.
Basic Requirements:
Claim Resolution and Reimbursement: Dedication to resolving medical claims and effectively collecting insurance reimbursements.
Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organization in managing accounts receivable.
Independence and Collaboration: Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
Medical Billing/Collections Professional: Proven experience in resolving denied/underpaid claims and conducting thorough follow-ups with insurance providers.
Diverse Responsibilities: Extensive experience in medical billing and collections, including claim submissions and follow-ups.
Specialized Expertise: Preferred experience in Conservative Therapy, Medical (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), or Patient Accounts.
Excel/Google Sheets: Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Out of Network Experience: Track record in handling Out of Network billing processes effectively.
Payer Portals: Familiarity with various Payer Portals for efficient claims processing.
Insurance Knowledge: Extensive experience with Major Medical Insurance Providers, Work Comp, and Motor Vehicle claims preferred.
Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
