As a Medical Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing patient accounts and facilitating efficient billing processes.
Responsibilities:
Patient Account Management: Prepare invoices and maintain accurate records of patient accounts using our advanced computer software.
Communication Liaison: Interact with patients regarding outstanding balances and collaborate with collection agencies when necessary. Coordinate with medical aid companies to secure payment authorizations for medical procedures.
Timely Account Settlement: Regularly monitor patient accounts and work closely with medical aid providers to ensure timely settlement of accounts.
Customer Service Excellence: Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring clarity on insurance guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associate's degree in accounting, business, or economics preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in administrative roles within a medical or healthcare setting.
Skills: Proficient in basic mathematics and computer literacy. Excellent communication skills for interaction with insurance companies and patients. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge: Familiarity with medical coding procedures (ICD-10 preferred).

Pay Range: $17.26 - $25.58 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week
