Client Overview:
Our client, a growing healthcare company in Bergenfield, NJ, is looking to hire a Medical Billing Analyst to join their expanding team. This role offers a chance to work in a supportive environment and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$28/hr, depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Medical Billing Analyst will handle Medicare claim denials, submit appeals, and ensure accurate coding and compliance using Epic. The Medical Billing Analyst prepare, submit, and track appeals for denied claims, collaborating with clinical and coding teams to ensure accurate documentation.
Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Analyst:
- Process and resolve Medicare denials and appeals, focusing on medical necessity and coding compliance
- Utilize Epic software to manage Workqueues (WQs) and track claim status
- Review and analyze Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) and National Coverage Determinations (NCDs)
Qualifications for the Medical Billing Analyst:
- 4+ years of experience and is a self-starter
- Experience with Medicare billing, denials, and appeals processes
- Proficiency in Epic
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
