About the Job
3-6 month contract
Flexible Hours 7-5 (pick your shift)
Key Activities:
- Verify benefits coverage for patients by validating insurance provider and coverage using on-line systems
- Run a variety of computer reports to obtain information and verify data
- Verified insurance information is input into computer system
- Inaccurate or missing information is corrected and input into computer system
- Notify appropriate stakeholders of verified and corrected information
Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience in medical billing or terminology required
- Multiple payer experience preferred
- Insurance verification experience in a high volume healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficient computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
- Strong written, verbal and electronic communications
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population to obtain needed information
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong follow-through skills while maintaining high productivity

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
