Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist - FTP Billing

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team. This is a key position within our company, requiring a combination of expertise and dedication to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance and reimbursement functions, ensuring timely and accurate claim filing and resolution.
• Address issues with third-party payers and oversee collections processes.
• Work in an office environment with desk and counter work; frequent contact with patients and third-party payers, including handling challenging interactions.
• Ensure maximum reimbursement through effective claims management and settlement negotiations.
• Stay informed about changes in the medical insurance industry and adjust operational procedures accordingly.
• Monitor compliance with insurance reimbursement policies.
• Maintain and update records of insurance carriers and employers.
• Resolve complex insurance claims issues and provide follow-up on unpaid claims to secure payments.
• Act as a resource for staff regarding insurance claim policies and procedures for various insurance plans.
• Provide guidance and training to front desk employees on insurance changes, claims processes, and billing inquiries.
• Handle correspondence related to billing, prepare reports, and maintain records and files.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with patients and staff to address and resolve payment-related concerns.
• Participate in professional development activities and attend required meetings as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical billing and accounts receivable management.
