MUST:
Experienced Medical Assistant with Medical Assistant diploma
Strong phlebotomy experience
1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice medical office
Some women s health/OBGYN experience
Administering injections
Experience assisting with exams and procedures
Strong experience documenting and updating patient information in EMR
DUTIES:
The Women s Health Medical Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Room patients and obtain vitals
Assist with exams and procedures
Draw blood
Obtain consent forms from patients, when necessary
Clean and prepare exam and procedure rooms
Sterilize instruments
Administer injections
Prepare patients for minor surgeries or other procedures.
Schedule lab appointments or tests as ordered by physicians.
Manage lab specimens
Order medical supplies
Provide patient education
Administers medication as prescribed by the physician.
Contacts patients with test results, as directed by the physician.
Takes pharmacy calls and responds appropriately with refills per physician orders.
Other duties as assigned
