Job Title: Medical Assistant with Administrative Support

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy internal medicine office. This role is designed to accommodate "mom's hours" with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The successful candidate will provide essential medical and administrative support to our healthcare professionals, helping ensure smooth operations and delivering high-quality patient care. This role is perfect for a proactive individual with a strong background in both medical assistance and office administration.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient interviews and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and manage medical records and insurance documentation
• Coordinate hospital admissions and lab services
• Assist healthcare professionals during medical exams
• Draft and distribute correspondence, including memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, maintaining accurate financial records
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Demonstrate EKG skills as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Social perceptiveness and a patient-centered approach
