MUST:
2+ years of MA experience
Experience in Urology or GYN is a plus
Must have experience with EMR
Must have experience with Phlebotomy and specimen collection
Proficient at Urethral Catheterization is a plus
Experience with urodynamics and pelvic floor therapy is a plus
Bi-lingual is a plus
DUTIES:
The Medical Assistant would be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, specimen collection
Prepares rooms for patient exams and procedures
Assists physicians in exams and procedures
Knowledge and skill at cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
Maintains clean, safe and well-stocked rooms for patient exams and procedures
Gives injections
Schedules patients for appropriate procedures
Verifies insurance authorizations for medications
Maintains cleanliness, quality and stock of medical instruments
