MUST:
Experienced Medical Assistant Surgical
1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant Surgical
1+ years of experience as a Surgery Assistant
1+ years of experience assisting with surgeries in any specialty, dermatology preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
Ability to problem solve in a strong
Ability to travel to other locations if needed
Experience with electronic medical record systems
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
DUTIES:
Entering and documenting all referrals, orders and prescriptions as directed by provider to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient s visit
Triage patients to include medical history
Prepare rooms and surgery trays for the physician
Prepare patients for surgery
Assist physician with surgeries
Administer lidocaine in preparation for surgery
Cleaning instruments and understanding of sterile technique
Provide post-operative care, including dressing changes and post-operative instructions
Suture removal
Other duties as assigned
