OUR COMPANY:
ProVas Vein & Vascular Specialists are outpatient vascular clinics located across Utah. We focus on providing excellent peripheral vascular and arterial care.
The physicians and staff at ProVas Vein & Vascular have devoted their lives to saving limbs and minimizing the pain and suffering caused by vascular disease. We get our patients back on their feet to enjoy all the little things in life that mean so much! Our office-based clinic treats vascular and arterial disease with the use of Interventional Radiology, performing procedures such as venogram, angiogram, and atherectomy.
We are looking for capable full time and part time Medical Assistants to join our Sandy location. The schedule is based around procedural scheduling.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
- Assist as needed at front desk including, greeting patients and visitors, answering phone calls and e-mails, scheduling patients, verifying patient info, etc.
- Proficient with EMR, and medical vendor sites/systems. Ability to operate Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Excel.
- Updating EMR and OR documents.
- Extensive review of past medical histories, accurate confirmation of medication lists.
- Documentation of patient interactions and procedures. Detailed scribe and charting techniques.
- Obtain and record vitals, greet and direct patients.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, support systems, medical personnel, and coworkers in an appropriate and professional manner. Proficient with communication in written and verbal form.
- Competent assisting with medical procedures and using medical terminology.
- Possesses confidence in clinical skills. Eagerness to learn procedures and clinical duties.
- Practices empathetic and informative interaction with all patients, visitors, and guests.
- Able to work as a team member, display a positive attitude and professional behavior.
- Other duties befitting a medical assistant.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires high-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response and patient care assessment activities. Ability to move quickly for physician and patient needs,
- Able to stand for long periods of time, occasional lift overhead and reach low.
- Able to exert force of up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently and 10 lbs. regularly.
- Patient care activities require the ability to exert force of up to 30 lbs. continuously, 40 lbs. occasionally, 100 lbs. rarely.
