Position Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team! This
position focuses on supporting patients and their families, while also collaborating with the
nursing team to provide timely, efficient care and ensure a positive, professional, and
supportive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
â— Create a caring and positive experience for patients while addressing their
healthcare needs.
â— Evaluate patients' support systems and community resources.
â— Communicate with supervising nurses, physicians, and care team members
about patient status.
â— Use motivational interviewing to engage patients in their care plans.
â— Facilitate referrals to community resources and healthcare providers.
â— Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
â— Conduct inbound and outbound calls, troubleshoot devices, and assist with
scheduling.
â— Facilitate disease prevention and health promotion activities.
â— Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and assist with data analysis.
â— Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
â— Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, required.
â— HIPAA compliant work space, required.
â— Must have a data speed of at least 35 mbps, required.
â— Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance processes, and community
resources, preferred.
â— Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferred.
â— Previous call center experience, preferred.
â— Demonstrates excellent active listening, written, verbal communication skills.
â— Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.
â— Possesses outstanding problem solving skills.
â— Possesses superior time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines.
â— Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining patient
confidentiality.
â— Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
â— Responds positively to change, showing willingness to learn new ways to
accomplish tasks.
