As a dedicated Medical Assistant, you will be integral to the operations of our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare provider. In this role, you will ensure efficient customer flow, support providers in delivering care, and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team. Your efforts will contribute to our client's reputation for excellence in delivering individualized patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the healthcare team regarding customer progress and concerns.
- Assist providers in the management and treatment of customers.
- Manage customer flow throughout the clinic.
- Perform clinical and clerical tasks to support the efficient flow of customers.
- Maintain and enhance skill proficiency through continuous learning and professional development.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and either additional on-the-job experience, training, or participation in a nationally recognized registration program with successful credentialing.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, with specific experience in Occupational Medicine being advantageous (only applicable for Occupational Medicine roles).
Certifications and Licenses:
- Mandatory current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Medical Assistant Certification.
- Necessary Breath Alcohol Tester Certification, to be obtained post-hire (specific to Occupational Medicine).
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for travel-related roles (applicable only for Occupational Medicine).
Travel Requirements:
- Local travel using personal vehicle may be necessary for certain positions.
Schedule and Shift Details:
- Day/Evening shifts available.
- 60 hours per pay period with a requirement to work every third weekend.
Technical Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using computer software applications.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Required to pass an x-ray operator’s examination or willing to undertake the exam depending on individual clinic needs (specific to certain roles).
