Hours: Monday - Friday, any hours in between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

This job will have the following responsibilities:
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform all duties following clinical, OSHA, and infection control standards.
- Interpret and execute provider orders.
- Assist physicians or associate practitioners with procedures and treatments.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, conduct interviews, measure vital signs, and document in the patient's chart.
- Record patient's medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaints.
- Provide patient instructions as directed by the physician or associate practitioner.
- Document all patient communications and interventions in the patient's EMR.
- Update the patient's Health Monitor at each visit.
- Manage GAP reports and recall lists for clinical quality measures.
- Utilize CINA sheets.
- Prepare and administer medications using aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient reactions to medications and report adverse events to the provider.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection following CLSI standards, including control testing, where applicable.
- Maintain laboratory specimen logs.
- Coordinate outpatient testing and referrals, and hospital pre-admissions when necessary.
- Scan referral letters, x-ray reports, and lab results into the patient's EMR as per clinic protocol.
- Maintain logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, equipment sterilization).
- Prepare, restock, and disinfect examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab areas, and all other patient care areas regularly and as needed.
- Handle telephone and email messages, as well as medication refill requests, providing feedback and answers to patients, physicians, and pharmacies according to physician protocol.
- Collect data and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and associate providers.
- Follow infection-control policies and protocols, as well as medication administration guidelines.
- High School Graduate or GED
- RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant or willing to obtain within 180 days
- Active CPR / BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor’s diagnosis of disease.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on clinical experience working with a licensed physician or provider
- 1+ years of phlebotomy skill experience
- 1+ years of experience giving injections
- Electronic Medical Records (Nextgen and Allscripts)
