Job Summary:
The Providence Center helps adults, adolescents and children affected by psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems and addictions by providing treatment and supportive services within a community setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Medical Assistant/Residential Assistant (split duties) is a critical role for us.
The Medical Assistant duties include:
Will assist doctors, nurses and other clinical staff in effectively accomplishing their medical duties.
Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.
Assist with medication groups.
Coordinate medication requests/refills.
Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments as requested by physician (i.e. physicals, EKG’s, etc.) and obtain results.
The Residential Assistant will perform, coordinate and monitor the daily non-clinical operations of the program.
Provide orientation of clients into the community.
Conduct tour of the facility and make introductions.
Problem solve and provide other support to clients as needed. Serve as a role model. Assist in new client admissions.
Review rules and regulations, issue linens, assign bedrooms, sign appropriate releases, gather birth certificates and social security cards, etc.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
This split position requires high school diploma, Medical Assistant certificate and two years of experience.
Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to multi-task and work in an extremely busy environment.
Must also possess great typing skills, spelling, and grammar.
Position may require driving. Must have valid driver's license, registration, current inspection and insured auto.
40 hours per week; Monday-Friday: 6am-2:30pm.
