Job Position: Medical Assistant/Scribe (Plastics & Dermatology) - Full-Time Position
OBJECTIVES: The successful Medical Assistant will be responsible to scribe for the dermatology providers by documenting accurate and detailed information. The ideal candidate will provide patients with the highest quality customer service and adhere to practice protocols and processes.

GENERAL RESPOSIBILITIES:
Room patients, medication reconciliation, assist with minor procedures, patient education, and performs other duties as assigned.
SCRIBING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accompanies physician during consultation and examination transcribes physical exam details per physical instruction utilizing medical terminology and documentation guidelines within the electronic health record.
- Completes all necessary documentation of the patient encounter in the medical chart including entering orders as the physician dictates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Scribes must be proficient in typing/data entry and good at spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication. Must be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion with the ability to multitask.
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports. Translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms.
- Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this Job, a Medical Scribe is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to type Must have a high level of professionalism and maturity Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision Ability to work independently and able to work in a fast-paced environment Medical Scribe certification preferred.
SKILLS:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior Plastics/Dermatology experience is preferred.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, meticulous.
- Ability to multitask.
- Use of computers and EHR software programs.
TRAINING:
On-the-job training offered.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1+ years of prior Medical Assistant Experience
- Travel is required between Danbury, Ridgefield, and Norwalk satellite offices.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Electronic Health Records experience.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday (variable schedule) with NO weekends (36-40 hours per week).
COMPENSATION:
- Salary based on experience.
- $2000 bonus
