About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to join our client's team in Manhattan. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support in a clinical setting.
This will be a 4-5 month temporary assignment. A great way to get you foot in the door with a well-establish healthcare organization!

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (No weekends!)

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including preparing patients for examinations, recording medical histories, and taking vital signs.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, following proper protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- *MUST BE VACCINATED* (booster not required)
- Medical Assistant Certification OR at least 1 year of clinical experience required
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
