Location/Hours

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support Nephrology in our Newburyport office. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

General Overview

Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.

Qualifications

Required:

•Completion of a formal medical assistant training program

•Experience working as a medical assistant in a community practice setting preferred

•Must be nationally certified as a medical assistant or must obtain national certification within 6 months from date of hire.

•Experience working with an EMR system required.

•Experience working on a computer required.

Preferred:

•Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization

•Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization

•Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to prioritize work and respond to changing needs

•Possess the ability to learn quickly

•Excellent computer skills
