This is a blended MA/PSR/Admin Assistant role.
Location: 8631 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048
Float Location: 1919 Santa Monica, CA 90404 and 16030 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436
Required Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
Experience with high-end sales, concierge customer service, or previous experience as an executive assistant
2+ years of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
Strong conversational skills and comfortable with "small talk"
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
Experience working with C-Suite or high-profile clientele
Experience with CS-Link/Epic
Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
Phlebotomy certification strongly preferred
Understanding of medical terminology
Job Duties:
Order lunches and complete administrative assistant/executive assistant duties
Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
