Pay From: $19 per hour
MUST:
The Medical Assistant must have over 5 years of experience:
Working in a doctor's office
CPR certification
Must have experience taking manual blood pressure
Must have experience administering injections
DUTIES:
Collect specimens as ordered, including but not limited to blood specimens, stool for occult blood, genetic testing
Complete request forms for diagnostic testing at the request of the providers
Provide physical care and carry out providers' orders
Review lab results and call patients with instructions based on the direction of the nurse, physician or Nurse Practitioner
Follow up on specialty testing
Manages and maintains the office lab equipment, including controls, data logs, etc
Order supplies for the office lab equipment
Call in prescriptions based on providers' order to local and specialty pharmacies
Manage and input E-scribes based on providers' orders
Assist patients in obtained assistance for co-pay foundations and prior authorizations
Responds to medical emergencies
Assist the Exam Nurse in managing and the patient education inventory and materials
Performs patient education on plans of treatments as directed by the providers
Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
