Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required and will be verified prior to employment.
Medical Assistant Certification is required and will be verified prior to employment.
At least one year of work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Certification in BLS is required and will be verified prior to employment.
EMR experience or proficiency required.
Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, X-rays, and processing specimens.

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
Excellent customer service skills.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, and processing specimens.
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes.
Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
Proficient in computer software and database skills.
Comfortable speaking on the phone and working in a fast-paced environment.
Very comfortable asking probing questions to patients.
Must demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude.
Maintain HIPAA compliance.
Multitasking and proactive problem-solving.
A high level of professionalism.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Travel:
As part of your position’s requirements, you are expected to travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
Must be able to listen, sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the day.
Frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Must be in good physical condition to maneuver patients when necessary.
