Reporting to the Clinic Manager, this multi-functional position is primarily responsible for administrative tasks associated with insurance verification and obtaining insurance authorizations necessary for pre-registration and scheduling of appointments and procedures. Must also be a certified Medical Assistant and will be required to float and cover as needed in the clinical setting to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Greets patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
+ Maintains patient confidentiality, respect and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
+ Assists patients and providers preparing with examinations, minor procedures within the office, phlebotomy and/or collection of specimens.
+ Performs blood pressures, vital signs and physical assessment of patient through triage Performs ancillary testing as ordered by providers.
+ Completes clear, accurate documentation within the patient medical record.
+ Maintains all clinical areas with supplies necessary to function daily. Keeps exam rooms and work areas within the office clean and sanitary at all times.
+ Assists with making patient appointments outside of the office.
+ Assists with telephone triage, refilling prescription medication as directed by providers.
Scheduled Hours: 32 hrs/wk
Work Shift:
Mon - Weds (Haverhill): 8 am - 430pm or 8:30am - 5pm
Thurs: 8 am - 12 pm or 830am - 1230pm
Fri: 8 am - 12 pm or 830am - 1230pm
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Licensure/Certifications: Certification as Medical Assistant and/or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program, BLS.
Experience required: Previous MA Experience required.
