About the Job
- Medical assistant duties including, but not limited to, point of care testing, removal of bandages and dressings, performance of EKGs and other clinical duties as needed in the clinic setting
- Clearly documents actions in a timely manner
- Assists physician in exams as needed
- Liaison (patient to doctor to patient) on call-ins.
- Cleans and set up exam room. Cleans and sterilizes equipment.
- Receives and records lab, x-ray, etc. results over phone, relay to patients when appropriate.
- Clerical duties including, but not limited to scheduling, obtaining prior authorizations, facilitating referrals, filing, answering phones, processing paperwork, and other general tasks needed to maintain efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
QUALIFICATIONS

LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: High School Diploma. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: AHA BLS
Preferred: California State Certified Medical Assistant
