Qualifications:
- Minimum of Two years experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assisting pediatricians with patient examinations, including measuring vital signs, height, and weight of children, and recording medical histories.
- Administering Treatments: Administering medications, vaccines, and other treatments as directed by physicians.
- Lab Work: Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests and ensuring accurate documentation of results.
- Assisting Procedures: Assisting with medical procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Documentation: EPIC, Electronic health record, electronic billing, scheduling, and Microsoft Excel, competency is required for this job
- Communication: Communicating with patients and their families regarding appointment scheduling, test results, and follow-up care instructions.
- Office Support: Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, and handling insurance forms and billing.
- Scheduling: Managing appointments, including new patient intake, follow-up visits, and scheduling procedures or tests as directed by physicians.
- Communication: Serving as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff, conveying information about appointments, test results, and general inquiries.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication is essential when interacting with patients and their families, as well as with medical staff.
- Organization: Managing appointments and administrative tasks requires strong organizational skills to maintain efficiency.
- Empathy and Patience: Dealing with young patients and concerned parents demands empathy, understanding, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Medical Office Experience: Familiarity with medical terminology, patient scheduling software, and basic medical office procedures is often preferred.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with nurses, doctors, and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
