We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and supportive environment where every day brings new experiences and challenges. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to patient care, a high level of professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Medical Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting physicians during medical examinations and procedures.
2. Administering injections and immunizations under the supervision of healthcare providers.
3. Performing wound care and ensuring proper infection control protocols are followed.
4. Managing patient billing, coding, and insurance verification processes to ensure accurate and timely payment.
5. Utilizing medical software for scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ordering supplies.
6. Preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and recording patient history.
7. Coordinating with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless patient care.
8. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
9. Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in administering injections, immunizations, and wound care.
3. Experience with medical billing, coding, and insurance verification.
4. Proficiency in using medical software for various administrative tasks.
5. A diploma or associate degree in Medical Assisting or a related field.
6. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is strongly preferred.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
9. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
10. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
