Medical Assistant at TEKsystems

Description:

Creating and maintaining a positive patient experience at company's internal clinic. Involved in both clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Cares for patients under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager, Advanced Practitioners, Medical Director, and in compliance with company's philosophy as well as standards of practice and regulations of government agencies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. Required education: High school graduate/GED/vocational training equivalency.

2. Required license/certification:

Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Valid state/government issued identification.

Medical Assistant education in progress or certification OR may be substituted for 6 months with direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant, certified Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic.

3. Desired education:

Current/Active and Unencumbered license/certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, American Board of Radiology, or Paramedic.

Licensed Practical Nurse.

Nurse education in progress with completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing, or equivalent, of an accredited nursing school.

4. Desired experience: 3-5 years direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant, certified Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic. With current experience required in Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injections.
