Medical Assistant (CMA) - The Primary Health Network

Position Overview 

Medical Office Assistant- This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting this includes both clinical and front desk duties. 

Location and Hours of Position

Shenandoah Community Health Center: 624 W Centre St, Shenandoah PA 17976

The general office hours for this position are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Tuesday: 10:00am-6:30pm)

NO WEEKENDS

Education/Experience Requirements

Graduate of an approved school Medical Assistant  ortwo years’ experience in a clinical setting

Compensation

Minimum start is $17.00 per hour (Medical Assistant), PHN recognizes experience, education, and site location when determining wage.

•         Infection Control

•         Nursing skills

•         Administering Medication

•         Flexibility in the workplace

•         Previous venipuncture experience 

•         Previous injection experience 

•         Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider’s direction

•         Good communication skills and interpersonal skills

•         Flexibility in the workplace

•         Strong clinical knowledge

•         Computer proficient
