Essential Functions:

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Record vital signs and medical history.
• Assist physicians/nurses during examinations.
• Administer medications and injections as per regulations.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen processing.
• Handle clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Conduct ECGs and assist with x-rays and minor surgeries under supervision.
• Manage front office duties, including patient registration and appointment scheduling.
• May supervise non-licensed staff in an office or clinic setting.
• Complete additional assignments as needed.
• Access personal health information (PHI) as required for duties.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Certification as a CMA by AAMA or registration through AMT preferred.
• One year of Medical Assistant experience within the last five years.
• Additional state-specific requirements as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Current CPR training for all ages.
• Effective communication skills with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance if driving is required.
• Meet health requirements for patient care.
