TheMedical Assistant is responsible for delivering a consistent Perfect Visit experience in ZoomCare clinics, through outstanding customer service and attention to clinical detail. The Medical Assistant is responsible for scheduling in person and telehealth appointments, updating medical records, checking patients in and out for appointments, performing blood draws, processing labs and maintaining inventory. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** _Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._ + Represent our values: Awesome, Creative, Respectful, Team Players, Get it Done. + Check patients in and out, maintain demographic and insurance information, process payments, and provide exceptional customer service by helping patients understand their insurance costs and navigate their ZoomCare medical record. + Interview patients, record medical history, take vital signs, and perform blood draws, finger sticks, and electrocardiograms (EKGs) according to medical standards. + Apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders + Process and document specimen results, maintaining laboratory standards and completing proficiency testing to ensure certification compliance. + Assist providers during exams and procedures, administer medications and vaccines, and deliver emergency care as needed. + Manage clinic inventory, ordering and storing supplies, and maintain basic medical equipment. + Collaborate with the team to improve patient experience, offering feedback and creative solutions for enhanced care delivery. + Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines, supporting overall clinic operations and patient care. + _administer medication and vaccines as directed by a provider._ + Other duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS** + High school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred. + 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience. + Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills. + Able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. + Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AthenaOne and other relevant software applications. + Excel in a fast-paced work environment, thriving under pressure and time constraints. + Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized and reputable organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) or the ability to obtain one within 1 month of hire. + Must be able to obtain a Medical Assistant- Phlebotomist license within 6 months of hire, and able to complete the ZoomCare accelerated phlebotomy course + Must have a Medical Assistant- Registered license. + _Preferred: Current licensure/certification as a; Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant Certification or prior experience as a Medical Assistant - Registered._ **COMPENSATION PACKAGE** + Medical, Dental, Vision benefits + 401K with employer match + Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Paid Parental Leave, Sabbatical Program + Hourly Pay rate: $25.00 - $33.00 DOE + Other Compensation: May be eligible for other compensation such as bonuses **WORKING CONDITIONS** + Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and reaching overhead. + Occasional crouching, kneeling, and bending. + Prolonged periods working at a desk and on a computer. + Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time. + Patient volume may often require working more than scheduled hours per week or outside of regular business hours to complete essential duties + Fittested for an N-95 mask, must beclean shaven where the respirator seals to the face for fit testing or when wearing the respirator.Must wear a mask as needed _ZoomCare is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our employees and patients.
