The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MA demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.

- Inbasket management including interoffice and patient messaging
- Verifying patient scheduling is accurate
- Clinical skillset including but not limited to EKGs, injections, nasal swabbing, ear lavage, etc
- Srong ability to multitask and work as a team
- Patient registration, communication via telephone, outreach initiatives, etc
- Prior Authorizations, referrals, RightFax
- Medication inventory reconciliation
- Provider support before, during and potentially after clinic
- Organized and communicative
- Able to prioritize throughout the day to ensure all work is completed
- Proactively addressing errors for future clinic days
- Excellent customer service in person, over the phone or via messaging
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED
- Arriving to work at scheduled time
- Communicating with provider on any patient care issues or questions
- Working collectively with providers and colleagues
- Going above and beyond for patients and their families to provide exceptional care
- Communicating with manager on schedule changes
- Following policy guidelines
