MUST:
The Medical Assistant must have experience:
Certified as a Medical Assistant or a Phlebotomist or as an Emergency Medical Technician
Must have 2 to 5 years of clinical experience
CPR certified
Reliable transportation: ability to float to multiple locations
Positive attitude
Ability to work as a member of a team
DUTIES:
Provides comprehensive allergy testing, pulmonary function testing, compounds allergenic extracts, and provides injections
Skin Prick Testing
Intracutaneous testing (Intradermal)
Spirometry (Pulmonary Function Test)
Acts as liaison between patient and physician's office.
Performs patient evaluations by monitoring skin scratch test, Intradermal test, and injection site reactions.
Utilizes spirometry to perform pulmonary function tests.
Charting and documentation
Patient management
Compounds allergenic extracts
Trains and educates patients and physician staff
