Our client is seeking a Medicaid DevOps Project Manager who will be responsible for the management, reporting, and achievement of project objectives, including the schedule, quality, resources, and budget for multiple Medicaid business and technology initiatives and activities that state Medicaid agency clients may undertake.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a Medicaid DevOps Project Manager who will be responsible for the management, reporting, and achievement of project objectives, including the schedule, quality, resources, and budget for multiple Medicaid business and technology initiatives and activities that state Medicaid agency clients may undertake.
- Lead and support the design, development, and implementation of Medicaid technology program and policy projects on time, within scope, and within budget, including assigning and managing staff, and creating work products
- Support technology modernization projects focused on Medicaid programs and initiatives within the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES)
- Deliver frequent, clear, and consistent communication to the client, team members, vendor, and direct reports
- Serve as the technical project liaison between vendor, state, and client
- Oversee and manage technical project plans using preferred tools, currently MS Project and Jira
- Provide cross-project coordination support to help ensure alignment of modernization activities across the suit of platforms and services assigned within the MES
- Develop, review, distribute, and present project status reports
- Lead the documentation of project action items, issues, risks, and decisions
- Oversee deliverable review facilitation, tracking, and maintenance
- Lead staff/team meetings and trainings
- Manage project budgets, and estimate and maintaining resource projections for responsible project tasks
You have:
- Bachelor's degree (master's preferred)
- At least 5 to 7 years of public sector experience; experience with state Medicaid and/or health and human services agencies, and/or health plans preferred
- At least 5 to 7 years of applicable experience leading healthcare technology projects. Technology projects within state Medicaid preferred (vendor or state-supported)
- Experience developing, editing and presenting summaries, reports, and presentations of complex information and data for project(s) and client team(s)
- Experience developing, editing and managing large technology projects and related project plans using agile, waterfall, and hybrid approaches
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Experience working at one or a combination of
- 1) at a consulting firm supporting state Medicaid agencies,
- 2) technology vendors providing services to a state Medicaid agency, and/or
- (3) at a state Medicaid or health and human services agency.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional ® (PMP) or other applicable project management certification
- Knowledge of agile principles and mindset
- Experience and adaptability blending project management best-practices with real-world challenges
