We are currently seeking 2 detail-oriented and experienced Medicaid Billing Specialists to join our team. This is a new position for our company.
Position Overview:As a Medicaid Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing Medicaid claims for our residents. Your expertise will help ensure timely and accurate billing, enabling our residents to receive the care they need.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and verify Medicaid eligibility for residents.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on Medicaid claims to ensure timely processing and payment.
- Communicate with residents and their families regarding billing inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing and payment activities.
- Collaborate with the care team to gather necessary documentation for claims.
- Monitor changes in Medicaid regulations and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assist in the resolution of billing discrepancies and appeals.
- Prepare reports related to billing activity as needed.
The above-mentioned responsibilities are a snapshot of essential functions. Other related duties may be assigned to the position. The position performs and oversees the above duties in collaboration with the community leaders assigned Medicaid billing functions.
Physical Essential Functions:- Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Typing: Proficient typing skills for data entry and documentation.
- Communication: Regular verbal communication with staff, residents, and families.
- Reaching: Occasional reaching for files or materials within the office space.
- Vision: Ability to read and interpret documents and computer screens.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medicaid billing or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
