Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of the Medicaid application process and requirements
• Must have strong organizational skills with high level notice of details
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have reliable means of transportation

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all stages of the Medicaid application and conversion process in order to ensure financial eligibility
• Processing of all appropriate forms applicable to the Massachusetts state requirements
• Meet with residents/families in timely manner
• Monitor and document the progress of the pending Medicaid cases
• Communicate resident responsibility, discuss and bill estimated Patient Liability
• Monitor admissions who do not have a supplemental plan and notify centers
• Respond to denials, which may include attendance of appeals or submission of reapplication
• Work in collaboration with the A/R Coordinators/Business Office staff to coordinate efforts to approval
• Manage legal referrals and respond with staff input
• Attend court hearings
• Track SCO admissions for conversions
• Coordinate with PACE offices for conversions
• Prepare reports and attend A/R Collection meetings with Regional team
• Maintain and distribute admission flag list
