The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois (University). It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of UIF's newly established Media Studio, which is equipped with an array of video, audio, lighting, and computer equipment.
This individual is directly responsible for studio scheduling, equipment use and maintenance and documentation of studio procedures. Also coordinates and executes media production activities including video shoots, photo sessions, podcast sessions, podcast recordings and editing of video and audio projects for internal and external advancement-related stakeholders.
Uses experience, knowledge and skills in managing technical equipment, coordinating media projects, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily studio operations, equipment use and maintenance, and inventory.
- Schedule and coordinate media production activities for internal and external users, facilitating use of the space and direct operation of, or guidance on use of, UIF studio equipment.
- Produce assigned video and audio projects from start to finish, including items such as internal and online communication materials and externally facing impact stories.
- Collaborate with UIF departments and UI Advancement stakeholders to facilitate their video, audio and photo projects with set up, recording, and editing.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and manage repairs/replacements. Create documentation for equipment use and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to studio users, including interns and external groups
- Oversee studio software/computers and coordinate with UIF IT for technical support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules.
- Ability to understand and follow brand standards and guidelines.
- Technical proficiency with video and audio recording equipment including cameras, microphones, lighting, and computers used for editing.
- Familiarity with media editing software such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
