Responsibilities
What we trust you with:
- Maintains the media flowchart and media billing reports by channel and market for all media activity, demonstrating proficiency in working and managing complex budgets and numbers.
- Establishes and enhances budget management and billing processes.
- Supports campaign implementation and execution, QA, monitoring/optimizing and conduct insightful reporting for video and audio campaigns.
- Maintains media buying invoicing and reconciliation process across all channels (ie: Broadcast TV; Digital). This includes tracking and storing all signed media estimates and IOs.
- Supports the Media Manager (Broadcast Media Buyer) through management of TV schedules, including video campaign traffic (via Extreme Reach), TV spot makegood process, post-buy analysis and media schedule confirmations.
- Visualizes, summarizes and develops quarterly buy summary presentations, including outlining buying strategy and insights.
- Maintains data in our buying platform (Strata), including entering Broadcast TV buy goals, handling media schedule confirmations with broadcast stations, Spot TV makegood process, and running reports, organizing and analyzing results.
- Creates Purchase Orders for all video and audio media contracts, and acts as a liaison to the accounting department regarding any issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinates marketing media events and activations as needed, including internal & team activities.
- Assists the Media Manager with the coordination of added value and sponsored program assets.
- Contributes to the evaluation of new vendors, tools and software as required and stays up to date on existing media software and publications.
- Stays up to date with industry trends, technology and best practices through ongoing learning engagements and research.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years media planning or TV buying experience in either an agency or in house department; retail experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent experience with Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience managing budgets and budget management documents
- Ability to successfully multi-task while preserving high attention to detail, manage time and show stellar organizational skills
- Experience learning new research software or publication tools; knowledge of Media Buying Software a plus
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and works well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem solving and resourcefulness; able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision
- Strong understanding and curiosity of media planning and buying process, coupled with an interest to explore new tactics and drive client business growth.
- Strong project management skills; good communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to gather information, analyze, and effectively communicate; analytical curiosity and self-motivation
- Work in a team environment with people of various backgrounds, personality traits and levels of authority
- Familiar with general marketing / advertising practices and procedures
