Position Description
Seeking Mechanical Technician to assist in problem solving activities with eMobility products (High Voltage Power Distribution, others) through a systematic, collaborative approach.
Responsibilities:
* Investigative testing activities in a laboratory environment in order to root-cause issues observed in internal development testing, customer testing and end-user warranty.
* Assist in problem solving activities using a disciplined problem-solving approach across various areas (electrical, mechanical, systems).
Interpret test requests, setup & perform per requirements from engineering.
* Assist in the prototype assembly of electronic components.
* Use laboratory tools for investigations: soldering, DMM, power supplies, oscilloscopes, HiPot, leak testing, etc.
* Coordinate test equipment maintenance and calibrations with facility.
* Stay current with the latest test equipment & methodologies to continuously improve the effectiveness of lab testing and investigative techniques.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with various internal groups (systems, electrical & software engineering, manufacturing, supplier development & quality).
* Support material and quality control activities including safety action items, part inventory & storage and others as required.
