Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Supervise and coordinate mechanical crews, subcontractors, and vendors on healthcare construction projects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract requirements, healthcare-specific regulations, codes, and standards.
- Productivity: Plan and manage project schedules, productivity, and material procurement within established budget goals.
- Quality control: Manage quality control program to ensure standards, documentation and inspection requirements are maintained current.
- Relationship management: Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to address concerns timely and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve field issues promptly to maintain productivity and schedule deadlines.
- Development: Mentor and train team members to promote growth and performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Superintendent on healthcare projects.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and piping).
- Strong understanding of healthcare facility requirements and standards (e.g., infection control).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong experience utilizing construction software (e.g., Procore, Trimble, Microsoft 365, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, etc.
