We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our fast-paced construction team. This role will involve managing all phases of mechanical construction projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mechanical projects in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all aspects of mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and other project team members to develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
3. Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring that materials, manpower, and equipment are available when needed.
4. Regularly review project progress, identifying any deviations from the plan, and taking corrective action as necessary.
5. Manage project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and solutions to maintain project schedules and budgets.
6. Ensure that all project work is carried out in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
8. Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
9. Continuously improve project management processes and practices, contributing to the company's ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the mechanical construction industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mechanical projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
8. Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
9. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
10. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
