Our client, a leading engineering design firm, is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to contribute to HVAC system design for diverse and innovative projects in Roanoke, VA. In this role, you will collaborate with team members, engage directly with clients, and mentor junior engineers. Role Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems across various project types, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients to maintain alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Mentor junior staff, offering guidance on technical and project management skills.
- Oversee project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
Position Requirements
- License: Active Mechanical Engineer (PE) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in HVAC design for building projects, with strong expertise in load calculation and energy modeling software (Trace, ComCheck).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with Revit experience preferred.
