Selectek has an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our leading team at a prominent process air filtration and recycling systems provider. In this 6-month contract-to-hire role, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and project management of industrial equipment and systems.

What you'll do:
- Lead engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet all specifications and deadlines.
- Breathe life into new equipment designs and adapt existing ones for novel applications.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed part, assembly, and layout drawings.
- Craft clear and comprehensive technical documentation, project manuals, and reports.
- Perform essential engineering calculations and select appropriate purchased parts.
- Guarantee adherence to relevant industry standards and codes, upholding exceptional mechanical engineering practices.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure machinery compliance with CE standards.
- Communicate project updates, results, and any roadblocks effectively, seeking solutions when needed.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Control, Field Service, and external partners.
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET).
- Solid expertise in SolidWorks software.
- 3 - 6 years of project engineering experience in industrial equipment machine design.
- Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication (highly preferred).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
