Our client is looking for an outgoing individual who will conduct mechanical and visual inspections of parts, subassemblies and completed products.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensures products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspection on product using calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection on product per procedures.
• Perform first piece inspection and in-process inspections.
• Communicate with production supervisor / team leaders / operators about problems found during inspections.
• Documents inspection results in electronic media and maintains meticulous detailed records pertinent to inspection results.
• Writes non-conforming material reports for defective products.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Background concerning the usage and care of precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to effectively read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, inspection manuals and procedures.
• Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections.
• Demonstrates an understanding of related aerospace ISO and AS9100 requirements.
• Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of dimensional, visual and mechanical inspection processes.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• CMM experience is a plus
