Manufacturing Technician
1st shift Contract to Hire
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary:
The technician is responsible for inspecting incoming, in process and finished good materials, parts, and components to ensure that they meet all visual and dimensional specifications.
This position requires an understanding of GD&T principles and the ability to use a variety of inspection tools and equipment including electronic test equipment.
Must be willing to assist in assembly, packaging and shipping/receiving as needed
Responsibilities:
- Must be able and willing to multi task and work all assembly, inspection, test, receiving and shipping as needed
- Inspect incoming materials, parts, and components to ensure that they meet all quality standards and specifications using mechanical inspection tools..
- Perform electronic testing - willing to train
- Ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and PO's.
- Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection findings.
- Work with suppliers to resolve any quality issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Pack and ship product
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical inspection.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Ability to use a variety of inspection tools and electronic equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with low supervision.
