Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical data for future reference.
- Assist in negotiations with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on budgetary considerations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
