Position: Mechanical Estimator

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs to determine labor and material requirements.
• Develop and submit competitive bids, including detailed cost breakdowns.
• Maintain records of estimates, bid documents, and submissions.
• Craft project bid strategies that give our client a competitive edge.
• Review estimates for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
• Draft detailed customer proposals

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of mechanical and/or plumbing trades
• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical estimating or a similar field.
• Familiarity with commercial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and cost estimating.
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications.
• Understanding of building materials, engineering standards, and codes.
• Strong proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office
