We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York. **Job Description** AECOM/Tishman, a leader in general construction in NYC, has an immediate need for a Senior Mechanical Construction Estimator to join our team of professionals on our current and future construction projects. + The Senior Estimator is responsible for the overall development of Mechanical estimates working in collaboration with building estimator under the direction of the region’s Preconstruction Executive. + Prepares estimates with the proper level of detail for all stages of design including Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents. + Reviews design documents for proper information to receive accurate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, generates acceptable value engineering ideas. + Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for conformity to scope of work requirements. + Able to prepare estimate in Uniformat and CSI Standard formats. Participate in the preparation of bidder’s Scopes of Work, Bid Tabulations and GMP proposals. + Be familiar with current labor and material pricing, maintain a historic database by project and system type. + Establish good working relationships with trade subcontractors. + Familiar with estimating all elements of the Mechanical trades including: + Plumbing + Fire Protection + HVAC **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** : + BS Engineering/Construction Manager or related curriculum and 10 years of progressive experience estimating construction projects for a large vertical GC or contractor or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + 2 years of leadership experience **Preferred** **requirements:** + 10-12 years relevant construction experience. + Demonstrated construction experience in estimating Mechanical trades. + Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to work with multi stakeholders. + Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet-based programs: Blue Beam, OST, MS Excel, MS Word + Ability to read and take-off – Fire protection systems, Plumbing systems, HVAC systems. + Strong mathematic aptitude. \#LI-GS1 **Additional Information** + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
