About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC, wastewater, and fire prevention systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Plan, design, and oversee the installation of wastewater treatment systems, including collection, treatment, and disposal processes, while considering environmental impact and regulatory requirements.
- Design fire prevention systems, such as fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and smoke control systems, to ensure the safety and protection of buildings, occupants, and assets.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to determine the most suitable mechanical solutions for clients' needs.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities to ensure proper functioning and compliance of mechanical systems.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to HVAC, wastewater, and fire prevention systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing HVAC, wastewater, and fire prevention systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and HVAC design software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE).
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, EPA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
