Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and construction of pilot plants for the chemical and petrochemical industries. This full-time opportunity is perfect for professionals with experience in process equipment, pressure vessels, and mechanical design who want a flexible, rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise mechanical aspects of pilot plants in the chemical/petrochemical sectors
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, suppliers, and fabricators to ensure project success
- Support equipment assembly, installation, validation, and field services when needed
- Conduct stress analysis, work with stainless steel fabrication, piping, flow systems, heat transfer, and controls
- Utilize CAD/design software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Codeware
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in pressure vessel design, FEA, and stress analysis
- Experience with piping, stainless steel fabrication, and chemical processes
- Proficiency in CAD/design software and tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Willingness to engage in occasional domestic and international travel
Preferred Skills:
- EIT or PE license
- Knowledge of ASME Sec 8 Div 1 (pressure vessels) and PED codes
- Experience managing drafting/design teams
- Hands-on experience in production and R&D equipment installation
