Job summary

Our company is seeking a qualified mechanical engineer to contribute to the design of cutting edge robotics systems. The candidate will contribute to robot design, fabrication, assembly, and testing with a solid application of mechanical engineering principles and practice. Candidates should be eager to immerse themselves in challenges and be willing to learn and apply new domain specific knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Performs research, designs, develops, and tests electromechanical systems for robotic applications
• Applies engineering design process from conceptualization to prototype development and validation
• Performs modeling, analysis, and simulation of electromechanical systems
• Develops CAD models and drawings of electromechanical assemblies and systems
• Performs light fabrication, subsystem assembly, and integration of subsystems
• Formulates and performs electromechanical system tests
• Documents analyses, design, and creates test reports
• Travels to support field experiments and off-site test programs

Requirements:

• Proven track record of developing mechanical systems
• Effective organizational, planning, and analytical skills
• Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities
• 3D modeling experience (Solidworks preferred)
